Saturday was rainy and really windy. We drove over to Christmas Cove to see Lake Michigan full of big waves. It was pouring rain, so we stayed in the car, but it was still pretty cool.
Sunday afternoon warmed up enough that we hung out on the beach for a little while. We had to wear pants and sweatshirts, but the sun was shining and the boys got to play in the sand, which was awesome. There was a regatta going on in the bay that provided a gorgeous backdrop of white sail boats on blue, blue water. I got out my zoom lens and had fun getting some candid shots.
Fathers and sons and shoulder rides--classic!

Check out this hot guy that I spotted on the beach!
Miles was in his own world, completely entranced by the sand. I was completely entranced by his sweet, chubby hands!
Miles decides to join in on the action--notice the look of concern on Nathan's face. I don't remember exactly, but I think it's a safe bet to say that the next words out of his mouth were, "MINE!"
Found his mommy, all is well!
All weekend we reminisced with Dan and Annalee about last year's labor day weekend, which was about a month before Miles was born, and how crazy it was that he wasn't here yet and that N was such a little guy. Thought I'd post some pics of how Nathan and Miles spent their time on the beach last labor day. :)
