Cruising in the '23

We went up to the cottage in Northport to celebrate the July 4th holiday with family and friends. I absolutely adore the Leelanau Peninsula, and the 4th is when the weather, the crowds and the festivities are at their peak!

On Saturday morning we went for a ride in Grandpa's 1923 Buick to visit Uncle Larry, Aunt Fay, and cousin John at their cottage north of town. It's always fun to go cruising in one of the classic cars, especially driving through town, honking the aahhh--OOH--gaa horn as people wave. Since there are no seatbelts at all, much less a carseat, Nathan only went for a short ride for the last block back to our cottage.

I was feeling like taking a few artsy-fartsy photos. There is so much art in these old cars!
