I had a great time during reunion weekend. Gillian, Annalee and I headed over to campus bright and early on Saturday morning to take part in the 5K. We decided to walk it so that we could talk and catch up with each other and a whole gang of other class of 2000 friends. After the race we headed over to the K-Crew alumni reunion.
After that we picked up the boys and headed back to campus for the class photo and then off to the football game to see the Hornets beat Olivet! It was an absolutely perfect day for spending time with friends outside.
Our reunion dinner was on campus in the lobby of the fine arts building. The location actually worked out really well. It was nice to be on campus, and those of us who had not planned well enough to get babysitters had the two theaters at our disposal for our kids to run around in. I had some good conversations with people that I hadn't seen in five or even ten years. It was a little bizarre to look around the room and see all of these familiar faces who were at all of the parties and classes in college, but we're all "grown-ups" now.
After a lot of chatting with folks, we headed over to Patti and Robert's new house, where they were hosting the after party. Their basement is perfect for hosting parties, and it was really great to have more in-depth conversations than we had during the mingling time.
The Hornets about to score a touchdown in their victory against Olivet! It was the first Homecoming victory since I've been at K.
Go Hornets!
Me and my boy
Kisses!
You may think that, since they're at a football game, Todd and Nathan would be discussing some nuance of the game. However, this being Todd and Nathan, they were both way more entranced in discussing the different cars that were parked by the field for the tailgate!
Dick and Jan, Oliver's proud grandparents!
Lissa and Grant's son, sweet little Holden!
