Saturday was absolutely gorgeous; it was the first day we've been up north all year that actually felt like summer. We went out in the boat for the first time this year, which meant that it was Nathan's first time ever on the boat. He wasn't a big fan of the PFD, mostly because it was so big that it prevented him from being able to suck his thumb. Other than that he did really well--he really liked watching the wake behind the boat.
We found a spot on one of our favorite sand bars to drop anchor and splash around in Lake Leelanau. The McMorrows were out and about in their boat as well, so we were able to hang out with them for awhile too. We hadn't seen Ryan, Greg and Marcia in way too long, and I had never met Anne before, so it was really great to spend some time with them.
Hmmm... I don't know about this big orange lifejacket... I'm glad Grandma's here to reassure me!
Happy to be out of the life jacket after we dropped anchor, and checking out the sights at Lake Leelanau.
Whew, I can reach my thumb again!
Funny mommy, funny baby
First time dipping his toes in Lake Leelanau... brr!
Cuddling with Grandpa.
Time for a snack! He's getting better with finger food every day.
